Warm rooms (very cold day we visited), handy, space for a family.
Lovely staff, found our cell and called immediatley
Too far from town
It is close to the centre of Martinborough.
It is very tired. I didn't realize but it was the same place I had stayed at over 10 years ago and the decor hadn't been changed. The stair carpets were worn etc. It needs doing up
This was the perfect place to take my 85 year old mother for a relaxing night "in the country" prior to exploring the Martinborough vineyards. We enjoyed the wonderful "sounds of silence" and the relaxing view from our window at the countryside. The apartment was well appointed. We enjoyed a very nice meal around the fire on a cold night and woke (rather late) feeling quite refreshed. The management team was very accomodating to us.
Nice location, short walk in to town. Has potential to be a peaceful location.
Stayed 3 nights - wanted a quiet weekend away, every day cleaning staff sat around outside rooms smoking and talking ( &swearing) for long periods while we were trying to relax during the day - really downgraded the experience.
Very easy access to local wineries and gourmet restaurants, Cape Palliser. The seeting of motel very quiet and peaceful.
All to our satisfaction.
Great service and lovely apartment
The motel was further from Martinborough centre than I anticipated
The lady who ran reception was lovely and extremely helpful. The place was lovely and quiet - best night's sleep all week - and the units we were in were very smart. Bets of all was that they take single night's bookings!
I guess the place is a bit motel-like, not something we'd usually go for but in fact the place was nicely landscaped - more like a country park. Didn't like paying for internet but unfortunately many places are like this.
Modern, well designed units on the edge of town, offering excellent value.
Good facilities - we had a comfortable and spacious unit with bedroom on the mezzanine floor, and living area, kitchen and bathroom downstairs - and friendly, helpful motel owners who made us feel very welcome.
The skylights in the bedroom were a great feature for light and space, but they had no blinds, so I'm pleased we weren't there in summer, when you might get woken by the sun on your face just a little too early!
We were happy with the location and the comfort of the room.
We had a nice night at The Claremont Motel. The staff were very accomodating of our children's needs (i.e.: portacot, heating etc) and they recommended family friendly places to eat. They had a selection of books, games and dvds for guests to borrow and they gave us a map to check out the Vineyards. The room that we stayed in was gorgeous - with a spa bath, two bedrooms, dining room etc. It had everything that you would need for a night away.
Friendly, relaxing, quiet. Beautiful surrounding gardens.
Hot water failure 1st day - but obviously not your fault. These things happen at home too!
Comfortable well appointed unit
Shower over bath and no antislip mat or hand grip for older people. Very small sink that tended to splash.
The rooms are well appointed and there is a private outdoor location from each.
The water pressure in the shower was low
